If you are interested in cabinet staining services - give us a call! Typically, cabinet staining projects are all custom jobs due to the nature of wood type, wood grain, and the color desired.
We typically break our staining services down into two categories: Refresh, and Custom Stain. See below for info on both.
Are your stained cabinets looking a bit tired? If you like the color and style, and just want them returned to their former glory, ask about our REFRESH services.
If you love the look of stained cabinets, and want to change the tone while maintaining that gorgeous grain, then ask about our CUSTOM STAIN services. We can achieve stain looks you have to see to believe.
At our first meeting, which is free of charge, we will consult you on your project and determine your overall direction. Once you have set up your initial appointment, the 10-20 day process looks like this:
When it comes to cabinet staining services, the door will need to be stained to a darker color. The reason for this is to ensure uniformity in color across the surface.
To get a kitchen stained to a lighter color, the doors, boxes, and frames would have to be sanded down to bare wood - beyond the level that the initial stain penetrated. This can vary in depth due to the nature of wood grain. Thus, uniformity is very difficult to ensure. Also, the amount of labor that goes into that begins to place jobs at a price point we try to avoid for our customers.
By using a pigmented topcoat, your doors can be stained any shade darker and the grain will remain the standard substrate necessary to ensure a uniform color throughout.
Stop by our showroom and take a look at many of our most popular choices. If you're having an in-home consultation - we'll bring the samples to you!

All accents are optional. You can choose none, just one, or multiple accents. Click pictures to the right for a detailed look at the listed accents.
LINE GLAZE - A process in which a contrasting glaze is hand-applied to the wood, then wiped off. The glaze will adhere to the natural grooves and waves of the wood surface. Any space between the moldings will show this contrast and enhance the complementary color.
HAZE GLAZE - A hand-applied process that uses a variety of techniques to artificially age the cabinet to give a period look. This is often referred to as "distressing" or "cabinet antiquing." There are many different types of distressing. We will be happy to show you options and allow you to choose the elements that best match your taste.
HAZE GLAZE WITH LINE GLAZE - Combining both accents for a truly unique look.
